Do you train models on student work?
No. Uploads, marks, resumes and conversations are used to serve the student they belong to. They are not training data and they are not sold. This is the one commitment on this site we would rather lose a customer over than soften.
What happens when it does not know?
It says so. An answer that has no source in your campus is labelled as general knowledge rather than dressed up as a fact about your college.
Can faculty see what a student asked?
No. A student's conversations are theirs. Aggregate usage is visible to a campus head — how many students used it this week — with no content attached.
